Job Description

You're a digital professional with 2 to 4 years of experience working in Product. Agile and Scrum are second nature to you. You can craft an excellent user story and can provide leadership for squad members in Design, Engineering, and Analytics. Tackling blockers and excellence in delivery are key parts of what makes you great at your job. You have worked in cross functional teams that include designers, developers and analysts, and may have worked in one of those roles before moving into a Product role. You think in terms of User Experience, understand how to use data to guide product decisions, and have the technical chops to lead an Agile Engineering team. You are able to build strong relationships with clients, with the knowledge and confidence to know when to push back and when to adapt to changes.

Requirements

Must haves:

  • Familiarity with managing to roadmaps and excellence in prioritising a backlog
  • Excellent user story writing skills
  • Ability to drive outcomes amp; manage to deadlines
  • Excellent client management skills
  • Ability to think strategically while acting executionally
  • Clear communication skills, and a proven ability to drive consensus with internal development teams as well as external stakeholders
  • Problem solving skills as well as the ability to adapt to fluid situations
  • Experience working in a scrum environment
  • Experience on Jira amp; Confluence
  • Experience in human centred design
  • Understanding of design / build / test or SDLC processes


Extra bonus points (don’t worry if you don’t have any of these, they are purely nice-to-haves):

  • Previous experience in Engineering, QA or UX
  • Analytics experience


Roles and responsibilities
  • Provide leadership to the team through all aspects of the product lifecycle from discovery through to build and beyond.
  • Be able to create buy-in for the product backlog and communicate the product vision both with our internal team and with key client stakeholders
  • Prioritise the backlog by working closely with the UX, engineering and QA teams to understand the effort and impact of proposed features.
  • Create user stories for design and engineering team members
  • Ensure delivery is on time, raise any roadblocks as soon as they arise, and problem solve to keep your team on track
  • Communicate directly with client side stakeholders to drive requirements and clarify dependencies
  • Translate business requirements and user experience into detailed specifications for Developers through artefacts like acceptance criteria, workflows, context scenarios
