Job Description

We are looking for a Project Manager with digital delivery experience to join our team in our Beresford office (CBD fringe). This will suit an intermediate level Project Manager with Agile delivery experience and strong people skills who thrives in a fast-paced environment.

Theta is a successful, New Zealand owned, technology consulting company with offices in Auckland, Wellington, Tauranga and Christchurch. Our Project Manager's focus is on enabling collaborative and cooperative approaches between stakeholders to ensure consistent, high quality, on-time deliverables.

As a Theta Project Manager, you will work closely with our customers, and be responsible for managing multiple projects. This role will focus on project delivery for our Digital Practice and may also involve multi-practice projects involving digital, software development, integration, Dynamics 365 offerings, and Cloud elements.

You will be an energetic, confident Project Manager who has a passion for efficient and effective project delivery. You will be pragmatic, flexible and work across multiple customer engagements to support our consultants in effective delivery for our customers.

This role will be an opportunity for someone that has established PM skills and wishes to hone them in a fast-paced consulting environment with future opportunity to develop into Senior Project Manager level.

Key Skills:

  • 3 - 5 years experience managing technology projects ideally with a digital focus
  • Experience using a variety of software development methodologies e.g., Waterfall, Agile, hybrid. Scrum Master experience will be an added bonus.
  • Forward planning, financial forecasting and risk and issue management
  • Excellent relationship building skills with the ability to influence outcomes
  • Polished verbal and written communication skills
  • Status reporting of projects in an accurate and timely manner
  • Experience in a consulting environment is desirable

You will also have:

  • Some formal PM training and have Prince 2 or PMI certifications. Agile certification would be an added bonus.
  • Experience with industry recognised methodologies and project standards.
  • Excellent budget and time sheet management; schedule planning skills and stake holder management
  • Appropriate work visa and currently live in New Zealand or are a returning NZ Citizen/NZ Resident
