Job Description

We've got an exciting opportunity for a junior Content Designer to join our team. You'll work in the marketing team where you'll be supported to take the day to day lead in creating marketing and sales assets for the RUSH brand, with a focus on digital design.

You will have a design qualification, a year of experience in a similar role, and a desire to roll your sleeves up and immerse yourself in the best design/tech studio in the country. There are numerous opportunities to build your skills whilst being supported to forge your own pathway, for example into a future UX or design career.

The Marketing team works to support a diverse range of internal and external projects across many different channels - this role seeks someone who is passionate about digital design and products, and a flair for presenting them in the best way.

PLEASE NOTE: The best way for us to assess whether RUSH is a good fit for you and vice versa is to see a sample of your design work. Because of this, if you decide to apply then please attach your design portfolio (or a link to it) to your cv in an easy to see place. Applications that do not have this will unfortunately not be considered.

Requirements

Specific skills required:

  • Proficient in visual storytelling and graphic/digital design.
  • Proficient with the Adobe suite including Photoshop, Illustrator, Indesign, and experience editing video in After Effects and Premiere.
  • Familiar with UX/UI design tools such as Figma, Sketch and InVision.
  • Being able to distill what’s needed from internal briefings and ask the right questions.
  • Thinking critically and creatively to come up with great solutions within constraints quickly.
  • An understanding of Content Management Systems and digital asset management (logos, images, videos etc)
  • An understanding of journey mapping, wireframing and Design Thinking principles would be an advantage.
  • Ability to research trends, new ways to create compelling content and competitor activity.

You’ll really shine if you’re:

  • Curious and hungry to learn about RUSH, our people, how we work, our clients and where technology is headed next.
  • Open and excited by new ideas, critical feedback and direction.
  • Resilient and confident as a multitude of challenges will come your way from stakeholders all around the business.
  • Organised in how you approach your work and manage your time.
  • Excited to collaborate with other team members and disciplines.
  • A lifelong learner who seeks to improve yourself, others, the work and the studio.
  • Willing to challenge the status quo.
