Requirements
We’re seeking designers and researchers who are interested in joining us on our journey as we extend, adapt and improve our products.
As a Senior Product Designer at Serko, you will work within cross-functional teams to design intuitive, innovative and well-crafted product experiences informed by research that solves real problems for our growing user base.
What you'll be doing
- Work collaboratively with product managers, software engineers and other designers. Gather and evaluate user requirements in collaboration with product managers and engineers
- Prototype concepts for new features and improvements.
- Facilitate and/or observe usability testing of prototypes; customer interviews and field research.
- Participate in workshops during discovery and delivery.
- Gather data about the market, user needs and behaviours through desk research and field research.
- Design interactions and workflows using components from Zeno's Design System, ZUI, and collaborate with design and front-end engineers to extend the component library where required.
What you'll bring to the team
- You’ll have 5+ years of proven experience as a Product Designer / User Experience Designer in software and be able to articulate how your work in this area has made an impact.
- You’ll have a portfolio that demonstrates impeccable foundational design skills (typography, colour, layout, interactions).
- You’ll have experience with a variety of quantitative and qualitative research techniques and methodologies. You’ll be familiar with all the usual tools and techniques including canvases, ideation, personas, journey maps, wireframes and prototypes.
- You’ll have experiencing working with and/or building and maintaining a Design System and be comfortable using Figma with Libraries. An understanding of atomic principles and web development are a plus.
- You thrive in a collaborative, team environment; have excellent communication skills (both written and verbal) and are comfortable liaising with internal and external stakeholders.
- You’ll have excellent time management skills and be able to use your initiative when it comes to prioritising based on impact and value.
- You’ll be able to articulate user needs and insights to both technical and business stakeholders to influence decisions and inspire customer-centricity.
- You are comfortable with rapid change and the dynamic environments that comes with working in a high-growth tech company.
- Bonus points if you have experience in Artificial Intelligence, Chatbots, Analytics, Information Design and/or Travel.
