This is an exciting role for a Sales Development Representative to be the foundation behind our business development activity, driving lead generation and pipeline creation. It is an outstanding opportunity for someone wanting to get into a leading technology business in New Zealand and build a successful sales career with EROAD.

This is a phone based role, and one where we are looking for a skilled professional to build new business sales through telephone activity, prospect new business outbound, and book qualified appointments for your colleagues who are on the ground. Where required, this role will also require execution of online demos, prospecting across Australia, and over time closing sales via the phone..

A self-driven attitude is a must, as well as a thorough understanding of the New Zealand market, and potential customers.

Requirements

  • Proven "phone hunting" experience
  • Have the ability to learn new technology quickly and translate the benefits to customers to secure leads and appointments
  • Experience in development of pipelines, lead generation and/or solution selling technology based solutions
  • Track record of delivery in lead generation and the confidence to prospect all levels of an organisation and a wide range of industries
  • Organised and structured approach to prospecting, utilising CRM platforms (ideally salesforce) to ensure you are running tight call cycles
  • Drive to succeed in the sales environment and grow your career
  • This is an essential position requiring a highly self-motivated individual contributor. This role is both challenging and rewarding, giving the right candidate a career growth path with opportunities in EROAD sales business.


Required Experience:

  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in a sales environment with a history of exceeding sales targets
  • Outbound and Lead generation experience
  • Exceptional phone manner and ability to influence over the phone
  • Proactive- enjoy providing assistance to both sales team and customers
  • Experience within the telematics industry an asset.
  • Experience within the heavy and commercial vehicle sector an asset.
  • An excellent reputation as a reliable and customer focused sales professional
  • You will need to have a good sense of humour and be able to positively contribute towards a supportive and positive environment.
