Job Description

Sudima Hotels is playing an essential role in assisting the Ministry of Health (MoH) with their continued programme supporting the repatriation of New Zealand citizens, and are proud to be doing our part in helping kiwis return home and keeping our communities safe while doing so. In our operation as an essential service during New Zealand’s COVID-19 response; we must adhere to strict guidelines provided by the MoH implemented for the health and safety of our guests, staff and communities.

Sudima Lake Rotorua has an exciting opportunity for a Talent amp; Culture professional to join our team as Talent amp; Culture Advisor.

Currently operating as a Managed Isolation Facility, this integral role at our Hotel will be responsible for delivering exceptional HR service and support at our busy 247 room hotel while working for a recognised industry leader.

The scope of this role is varied and includes:

  • Recruitment, Onboarding and Off-boarding
  • Training
  • HR Systems and Reporting
  • General Administration
  • Performance Management
  • Health amp; Safety


We are looking for applicants who have a genuine passion for people, along with establishing and maintaining amazing employee experiences.

Requirements

  • Previous experience in a Talent amp; Culture function is a pre-requisite, either as an administrator, coordinator or an advisor
  • Understanding of HR areas such as recruitment, training amp; development, employee relations, performance management and industrial relations.
  • Tertiary qualifications in Business or HR Management.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills that will help you develop strong relationships and collaborate with line managers, staff and key stakeholders across the board.
  • Broad understanding of Health and Safety and working knowledge of current legislation.
  • Sound knowledge of Tourism and Hospitality Industry would be beneficial.
