Responsibilities include
  • Prepare menus in collaboration with colleagues
  • Ensure adequacy of supplies at cooking stations
  • Follow the guidance of the Senior chefs and have input in new ways of presentation or dishes
  • Follow and enforce strict health and hygiene standards
  • Help to maintain a climate of smooth and friendly cooperation
  • Display company values of We Care, We Do the right Thing and We Work Together in all that you do.

Sudima Hotels is playing an essential role in assisting the Ministry of Health (MoH) with their continued programme supporting the repatriation of New Zealand citizens, and are proud to be doing our part in helping kiwis return home and keeping our communities safe while doing so. In our operation as an essential service during New Zealand’s COVID-19 response; we must adhere to strict guidelines provided by the MoH implemented for the health and safety of our guests, staff and communities.

We are seeking a new part time team member with a great attitude, in addition to that ,the following skills will see you succeed in this role.

  • Two years proven experience as a Demi Chef De partie in a large kitchen.
  • Knowledge of best cooking practices
  • An understanding of culinary trends and a passion to gain new knowledge
  • Planning and organising skills and an ability to work individually and in a team
  • Ability to multi-task, show flexibility and meet deadlines, work under pressure.
  • A current, valid, relevant trade qualification (proof will be required)
  • A desire to grow your career and/or desire to establish yourself in this role
  • Flexible to work rostered shifts, including weekends, late nights and public holidays.
  • Excellent use of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment and processes
