Job Description
Based in our Wellington office, we’re looking for an Environmental Consultant that is up for a challenge and is keen to get involved with a diverse range of environmental management services and projects across New Zealand. The successful candidate will have a minimum of 2 years experience in contaminated land or environmental monitoring/management experience and will ideally be a qualified asbestos assessor. You will already have a demonstrated aptitude in all aspects of environmental consulting, including the ability to work independently in the field, collate and compile data into accurate deliverables, and skills in working alongside contractors and clients.
We have a diverse mix of clients so having great interpersonal skills is key with a calm and confident communication style. You will be resilient and be able to adapt your approach whilst having a good sense of humour, a strong work ethic and skills to work collaboratively within a highly motivated team. It is important that you have an aptitude for business development as you are the face of 4Sight onsite.
Your key responsibilities would include:
- Working closely alongside and in collaboration with 4Sight staff, clients, asset owners and property partners to conduct field work, including collection of soil and water samples, conducting asbestos surveys, and providing asbestos supervision and clearance.
- Providing sound technical advice on best practice solutions and creating positive outcomes for our clients
- Preparation of technical reports and management plan

Requirements
- 2+ years’ experience in environmental consulting, specifically contaminated land management. Expertise in a wider range of environmental risk management would be beneficial
- Experience in asbestos surveying, reporting and management. An asbestos qualification such as BOHS IP 402, BOHS IP404, and/or BOHS IP405, would be ideal
- A WorkSafe issued Asbestos Assessor License and a valid and clean New Zealand drivers’ licence
- Sound project management skills and a drive to consistently deliver client’s needs
