Job Description

We are looking for a Senior Project Manager with a technology delivery background to join our team. This will suit a project manager with strong people skills and attention to detail who thrives in a fast-paced environment.

Theta is a successful, New Zealand owned, technology consulting company with offices in Auckland, Wellington, Tauranga and Christchurch. We have a large and varied client base who recognise our ability to deliver high quality professional services. Our Project Manager's focus is on enabling collaborative and cooperative approaches between stakeholders to ensure consistent, high quality, on-time deliverables.

As a Theta Project Manager, you will work closely with our customers, and be responsible for managing multiple projects in a fast-paced environment, working across a variety of technology projects. This role is based in our Tauranga office and will be predominantly focused on delivering projects in the local region.

Requirements:

You will be an energetic, confident Senior Project Manager who has a passion for efficient and effective project delivery. You will have strong experience managing projects through all phases of the project life cycle and happy to be involved on projects of all sizes - ranging from small to large and complex. You will have a background in delivering technology projects using a range of methodologies including Agile.

Key Skills:

  • At least 5 years experiencing managing technology projects e.g., data amp; insights, digital, software development, and Dynamics 365 (ERP/CRM). Experience in delivering data amp; insights (data migration, advance analytics, business intelligence, data warehousing, and reporting) projects will be beneficial
  • Experience using a variety of software development methodologies e.g., Waterfall, Agile, hybrid
  • Forward planning, financial forecasting and risk and issue management
  • Excellent relationship building skills with the ability to influence outcomes
  • Polished verbal and written communication skills
  • Status reporting of projects in an accurate and timely manner
  • Experience in a consulting environment a bonus

You will also have:

  • Some formal PM training, and have Prince 2 or PMI certifications (plus Scrum Master certification is beneficial)
  • Experience with industry recognised methodologies and project standards
  • Excellent budget and time sheet management; schedule planning skills and stake holder management
