Passionate about Talent Acquisition? Looking for an exciting in-house challenge, in an award-winning and growing SaaS business?

If that describes you come and join the global People amp; Culture team at Phocas; responsible for Talent Acquisition for our New Zealand market. This exciting new role, based in Christchurch, reports to our Chief People Officer.

We are embarking on significant global growth through direct and partner sales strategies, and the launch of new and innovative software products. Your purpose is to drive Phocas as an employer of choice, build strong talent pipelines through innovative sourcing and selection strategies and deliver on staffing targets aligned to our growth plans. The role is an integral part of both the global People and Culture team and the business functions. To be successful you will need to be a dynamic 'hands-on' contributor with a track record in full-cycle recruitment of world-class talent in a range of technical roles including software engineers, development mangers, product managers, UX/UI, platform and infrastructure roles, and businss systems and internal IT people.

What you’ll be doing:

Based in Christchurch you will:

  • Develop and implement active and passive candidate engagement strategies through search, social media, referrals, networking, specialist agencies (where necessary) with targeted universities, companies, industry network groups etc.
  • Take complete ownership of the full recruitment cycle for assigned roles (taking job briefs, writing and posting of creative job advertisements, strategic sourcing headhunting passive talent amp; using innovative sourcing techniques, managing candidate queries and screening candidates, conducting interviews, shortlisting, scheduling assessments and offer management)
  • Deliver a unique, personal and memorable experience for all candidates and uphold our candidate care standards (including The Circle Back initiative)
  • Partner with Pamp;C Business Partners and business stakeholders to understand the company’s staffing needs, objectives and placement of candidates
  • Establish and maintain strong working relationships with hiring managers across the business. Be a trusted advisor who is consulted regularly
  • Drive recruitment-based marketing and employer brand activities to ensure a consistent pipeline of talent
  • Maintain the recruitment database (Workable) and take ownership for researching and proposing technology advancements in the sourcing and employer brand space, including AI opportunities
  • Provide coaching and guidance to managers and other participants during the recruitment process and deliver recruitment skills training/workshops/clinics as needed
  • Be a brand ambassador in representing Phocas’ story, purpose, culture and values to candidates and the market
  • Showcase Phocas as a great place to work through distributing regular candidate facing content and communications across platforms, as well as organizing outreach initiatives and events
  • Regularly research current and emerging talent acquisition challenges, practices and opportunities and ensure we both utilize and embed practices which keep us at the leading edge

Requirements

Essential requirements include:

  • Degree Qualified perhaps in Business, HR Management or Psychology. Member of AHRI or RCSA
  • Minimum 5 years proven experience in a recruitment agency or in-house talent acquisition role (or a combination)
  • Proven success and demonstrated creativity in recruitment/pipe lining of talent, ideally in SaaS or IT businesses and particularly across business and technical functions, with a strong ability to assess cultural fit
  • Experience in supporting a high performance, customer focused, values led and fast paced culture
  • Demonstrated capability in influencing and coaching stakeholders
  • Experience using social media, recruiting platforms (SEEK Talent Search and LinkedIn Recruiter), ATS database, websites, boolean searches and advanced sourcing techniques to manage candidate pipelines, and talent pools
  • Hands on experience with a contemporary ATS (like Workable or similar)
  • Experience in recruiting global talent across APAC

Desirable - you will have:
