As a key member of Sustainability Team, you will lead in the delivery of the Waste Minimisation goal in Foodstuffs Corporate Social Responsibility Strategy.
The primary objective is to implement the Waste Minimisation Strategy through working closely with waste service providers and internal stakeholders including stores.
Our award-winning waste minimisation programme has been highly successful with many participating stores achieving diversion rates exceeding 90%. The programme is now being expanded. Your key objective will be to ensure that the programme achieves similar levels of success across the wider business.
The work is diverse and involves oversight for eight different material streams and working closely with waste service providers, food donation agencies, recyclers, and composters to achieve our ambitious waste reduction targets.
What experience do I need?· Relevant tertiary qualifications or equivalent experience· An in-depth understanding of, and interest in, waste management and minimisation· An understanding of the principles, practices and techniques of project and contract management· Strong analytical skills· Excellent relationship management skills, including specific ability to establish and build on effective working relationships· Excellent communications skills, oral and written
