Operations is at the heart of our business, ensuring the lights are kept on. The team is responsible for establishing systems and processes so exceptionally flawless that Beam users are ensured unrivalled efficiency, safety and top-notch service.
The Operations Manager role has a direct impact on the success of Beam in your cities. This roles requires a combination of savvy analytics, strategic thinking, strong execution and the interpersonal ability to work with teams from across the business. Beam is a new business and remains a fast paced environment, we are looking for a highly adaptable candidate who is able to switch between long-term strategic initiatives one moment and pivot into rapid, tactical actions the next.
Responsibilities:
- Lead a team of Operations Associates
- Set strategic directions to develop and own a full roadmap of initiatives to drive growth and increase engagement
- Develop and optimize processes to allow your function to operate and grow efficiently
- Analyze the business trends to track and improve metrics
- Identify local product needs and proactively search for new features which could improve charger experience
- Be a strong project and stakeholder manager with the ability to both plan and execute projects of varying urgency and scope with minimal guidance
- Collaborate cross functionally to ensure efficiency and alignment as we continue to build and scale
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree
- 5+ years of working experience with at least 1-2 years of people management
- Management consulting experience with an operations focus
- Data-driven decision making mentality and sound business judgement through strong analytical thinking
- Ability to take initiative in a constantly-changing work environment
- Experience in creating and optimizing processes
- Strong communication and organization skills
- Self-starter and radiates positivity and possess a can-do attitude
- Relevant industry experience advantageous
- Strong SQL knowledge is a plus
The position is full time, permanent and onsite in Wellington. Since New Zealand's borders are currently closed due to covid-19 restrictions, you must already be in New Zealand.
