We are looking for a strong, highly creative and innovative Ramp;D Product Developer to join our team. This role will primarily focus on innovation and new product development.
Key Responsibilities:
- Own and execute new product development from conception to commercialisation. Apply scientific and engineering principles in research, development, production technology, quality control, packaging, processing, and functionality of foods.
- Project manage the full NPD project. Design, test and roll-out production process in collaboration with engineers and manufacturing.
- Develop new and improved methods and systems for food processing, production, quality control and packaging.
- Develop new methods to improve quality of foods, such as flavour, color, texture, nutrition, convenience and shelf life.
- Actively keep abreast of market trends and new innovations and feed that back into the Ramp;D stream.
- Source and trial novel ingredients, equipment and processes at pace.
- Actively manage project timelines, highlight and mitigate project risks.
- Develop and maintain technical specifications and labelling information, ensure compliance with local and international regulations.
- Continuous and rapid improvement of all products, processes and quality.
Requirements
Does this sound like you?
- Food Science / Food Tech / Engineering Degree or related qualification.
- Proven experience in a similar role.
- Experience in managing the full NPD process from concept to commercialisation.
- Experience writing product specifications, good attention to detail.
- You’re an exceptional Project Manager, holding both the bigger picture and the finer details in parallel. You never miss deadlines whilst never compromising on excellence.
- You thrive in a fast-paced agile environment, enjoy Ramp;D and constant change.
- You’re a problem solver - you’re able to methodically work through challenges to get to the result that you want.
- You’re a quick learner with a continuous improvement mindset and a positive solutions-focused attitude.
- You're an effective communicator of ideas and findings.
