We are on the lookout for smart, reliable and motivated Production Operators who love to work hard and operate with energy and purpose. We’re a rapidly growing business and there are lots of opportunities for driven and hardworking Sunfedites who are keen to grow their career.
This is a full time role, currently Monday to Friday, based at our East Auckland location.
Our current need is on the afternoon/night shift which is
- Afternoon: 3:00 pm - 1:30 am (10 hour shift)
RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsible for general operational tasks on the manufacturing floor.
Core responsibilities include:
- Weighing and preparing raw materials.
- Setting up equipment amp; machinery and pre-operational checks.
- Blending, processing and packing.
- Quality control checks.
- Accurate completion of production records.
- Cleaning of production equipment and facilities.
- Ensure effective and timely communication with the team.
- Ensure strict compliance with all relevant Hygiene, Safety and Quality protocols.
- Help continuously improve functions and processes to optimise the manufacturing line - we have a continuous improvement culture and are constantly evolving what we do.
Requirements
Does this sound like you?
- Excellent personal hygiene and good understanding of food safety.
- Ability to work at speed requiring good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity.
- Meticulous attention to detail to ensure product quality meets the required high standards.
- Good level of physical fitness with ability to lift up to 25kg, stand for duration of shift, and experience to move equipment using correct techniques.
- Solid understanding and active practitioner of food safety requirements; from handling of product through to cleaning of equipment and work area.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Strong work ethic and an awesome team player.
- Quick learner with a continuous improvement mindset and a positive attitude.
