About the Role
We are looking for a project focused, experienced and seasoned Payroll Accountant - this is not your ordinary / BAU role!
This is a 3 month Fixed Term Contract (with possible extension) where you will have the opportunity to play a key part in transformational projects within our business, drive process improvement, lead and mentor junior team members and genuinely make a positive impact. All in the space of 3 months !
Following a recent merger of the New Zealand and Australia accounting teams, a key part of the role is to assist in the alignment of the ANZ payroll accounting processes, which will drive Group-wide efficiencies. Further project work involvement will include the automation of payroll journals between Datapay and Net Suite and reporting enhancements.
The Payroll Accountant will be responsible for ensuring that all people-related (payroll, annual leave, bonuses etc) obligations are appropriately accounted for in the general ledger. Specifically, the role will be responsible for supporting all aspects of payroll and labour cost accounting, including the review of recurring and non-recurring accruals, ensuring the Pamp;L position is accurate, payroll taxes are appropriately reflected and to ensure that Datacom is compliant with regulatory and compliance requirements in relation to payroll accounting and associated taxes.
