About the Role
Working as part of our Northern Region business, you'll responsible for leading our software engineering teams as they deliver world class solutions to our vast array of clients. In this role, you'll be tasked with driving the sustainability of the Midlands (Hamilton, Tauranga, Taranaki) software business unit, while also driving innovation, change and improvement across all areas. A senior position within the Datacom hierarchy, the Head of Software Engineering is allowed the autonomy and scope to lead their Business Unit how they best see fit, while given the support and resources they need to bring their vision to reality.

What you'll do
Our high performing Midlands software business is looking for a Head of Software Engineering to lead our team of developers and be responsible for our development practices. This is a senior position with responsibility for line management, mentoring, planning, pre-sales and executing our devops strategy.
As someone who loves speaking with customers, you’ll be adept and building strong relationships and driving growth and revenue comes naturally to you.
This is a challenging role, but the rewards and scope to grow further are substantial.
Skills and requirements
This role is for someone that loves software development, problem solving and team work. You will come from a Professional Services background and will thorough development experience across both Microsoft and open-source technologies, allowing you to engage with our developers and customers alike. You will have line management experience and be as passionate about running a team, planning activities and fostering growth of the people as you are at firing up the Azure portal or Visual Studio. A fundamental part of this role is being able to engage with our customers and drive revenue growth.
Devops and cloud adoption are key growth areas for our business. You will have the experience and capability to define strategies for their use, present and communicate these plans to customers, internally and at industry events, and lead the team that turns them into reality.
