About the role:
Mobile Platform is a newly formed team within Global Services amp; User Platforms, our focus is to standardise our mobile infrastructure amp; tech suites, develop a mobile design system, educate and guide for best mobile development practices. Our mission is to improve developer experience, accelerate product delivery, and support mobile engineering excellence.
This Product Owner role will be responsible for the client SDKs and libraries with a great focus on standing up the XUI mobile design system. The candidate will work with various internal stakeholders such as product, design, tech and the XUI team to collaborate on the best way to deliver XUI mobile native.What you'll do:
  • Have a deep understanding of the demands for features and enhancements. This includes listening to and interacting with leadership teams, product managers, sales and marketing, product teams and customers. Research and analyse how potential solutions and improvements should be delivered.
  • Document findings into specifications, user stories, etc. that will be used as the foundation of the development and testing phases.Own the delivery of the roadmap, product planning, and requirements for new features and improvements. Lead a team of peers during the course of projects to drive delivery.
  • Be able to prioritise feature requests, enhancements and bug fixes into an achievable roadmap.
  • Be able to make clear decisions on prioritisation and scope of minimum viable product.
  • Be a champion for the customer by collaborating with the design team to develop user stories, wireframes, and workflows that solve real problems for our customers.
  • Represent Xero in an on-brand manner to external-facing forums, blogs and events.
  • Work closely with their Product Manager and other Product Owners to ensure alignment with the global Xero roadmap.
  • Work closely with development to define milestones and ensure on-time and in-scope delivery.
  • Maintain strong communications with all teams at Xero, in particular, the Development, QA, Design, Documentation and Training teams
Success looks like:
  • New features, enhancements and fixes are rolled to production regularly and with as few bugs/issues as possible.
  • Features and improvements are delivered in a timely fashion and in line with Xero’s overall strategy.
  • Customer feedback remains positive about new features and improvements.
