Job Description
ABB’s Electrification business is a leading provider of a full range of protection, control and measurement solutions - enabling safer and smarter electricity flow from substation to the point of consumption. We deliver products and systems designed to connect, protect and control electrical systems, ensuring reliability, efficiency and safety for equipment and personnel.
You will play a key role within the Electrification Business area, based out of Napier; New Zealand. Reporting to the Planning & Fulfillment Manager, you will plan, direct and monitor all activities in the warehouse. Develop and manage warehouse operations to control effectively the receipt, storage, picking and dispatch of products, systems and services to customers.
Your responsibilities
Proposing and managing the annual warehouse budget. Operating within approved budget.
Managing the warehouse staff activities to optimize resources and determines actions to cost issues as necessary.
Improving warehouse operations using lean practices. Planning and optimizing warehouse utilization and inventory.
Planning and monitoring the storage, delivery and dispatch of orders and keeps stock control systems up to date. Overseeing stock control and processes orders.
Ensuring (with HR Manager support) that the area of responsibility is properly organized, staffed, skilled and directed

Your background
Relevant qualification would be advantageous.
Experience leading and managing people/teams
Transitional Facility Operators Certification
Forklift Operators Certificate
Knowledge of electronic components
Lean Manufacturing / Warehouse principles
Good numeracy skills
Competency with use of SAP ERP system
Familiarity with standard office computer applications
