We have an exciting opportunity for a full time Commis Chef on our new restaurant at Sudima Queenstown. We are looking for experienced Chef's with creative skills and a desire to innovate and ensure consistent quality food. We value working together as one and all contributing to team results.
This full-time permanent role (minimum 30 hours per week) and the rate will be $27.00 per hour.
Responsibilities | Nga haepapa
- Preparation and cooking of meals
- Supporting with kitchen services and cleaning
- Following the guidance of the Senior chefs
- Follow and enforce strict health and hygiene standards
Requirements
- At least three years of relevant experience or the candidate has NZQF Diploma (ANZSCO Skill Level 2)
- Planning and organizing skills and an ability to work individually and in a team
- Ability to multi-task, show flexibility and meet deadlines, work under pressure.
- Flexible to work rostered shifts
- Hands-on experience with various kitchen equipment
- Ability to remain calm and undertake various tasks
- Excellent time management abilities
- Understanding of Hamp;S legislation and strict hygiene standards
- Valid Right to Work in NZ
