About The Role
We are looking for an Kafka Event Streaming specialist with a strong background in application integration, to join our Integration business. Organisations face real challenges in a world where the number of integrations, and the speed at which they need to be delivered is increasing. There is a real need for experienced integration professionals to enable business strategies. What You’ll Bring
- Hands on experience with Event-Driven Design and Development using Kafka
- Solid hands-on experience and knowing your producers from your consumers
- Working with tools such as RabbitMQ, Zookeeper and Kafka Streams
- Knowing if we should be using Kafka platforms vs Pulsar or Rocket
- Strong Integration design, development, testing and deployment experience
- Understanding of DevOps technologies, with the ability to work closely with the rest of the development team at a technical level
- Experienced with the release of APIs/Applications via CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, Azure DevOps, or similar
- Familiar with automated testing concerns
- Leadership and mentoring experience
- Can work independently to design, develop and solutions, or as part of a larger team
- Working closely with Solution Architects on integration and related technical design
- You will be energetic and passionate about technology and learning new skills and tools, have strong communication skills and be a team player.
- Clear communication skills, both written and verbal
The following experience would be an advantage:
- Other Event streaming technologies e.g. Azure Event Hubs, Solace
- Experience with implementing SOA, ESB and API based solutions
- Hands on experience with API Management or Integration platforms such as Mulesoft, Azure APIM, 3Scale, WSO2, Oracle/IBM integration suites, Apache Camel, Kong, or similar
- Understanding of cloud (IaaS, PaaS, iPaaS, SaaS etc.), Microservice Architecture, Iamp;AM approaches
- Experience in both agile and waterfall projects
- Holder of integration or cloud related certifications
- Cloud technologies and experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP
- Containers or Container Platforms e.g. Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift
- API and Service Modelling, RAML and/or OAS Design and Implementation
