We are building a world-class finance and operations team and are looking to recruit a Christchurch-based Commercial Manager to ensure the seamless development, execution and management of commercial contracts and critical internal projects. The ideal candidate will be a detail-oriented and relationship-focused individual with a deep end-to-end understanding of commercial contracts.
Contract Development:
- Play a key supporting role in negotiation and drafting of commercial contracts, including but not limited to client agreements, vendor contracts, and partnership agreements.
- Work with our legal team to ensure that all contractual agreements comply with legal requirements.
Risk Management
- Identify and assess potential legal and business risks in contractual agreements, providing proactive recommendations for risk mitigation.
Relationship Management
- Build and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders, clients, vendors, and partners to ensure effective communication and collaboration throughout the contract lifecycle.
Contract Management
- Oversee and take an active role in the delivery of key contracts, including tracking key milestones, deliverables, costs and deadlines, and ensuring compliance with contractual obligations.
Change Management
- Work closely with internal and external stakeholders to manage change in a timely and efficient manner.
- Ensure commercial and legal aspects of change are fair and reasonable for both Onside and the customer.
Internal Project Management
- Manage critical cross-functional projects internally
- Keep internal stakeholders up-to-date with progress, including the leadership team and Board of directors.
Process Improvement
- Continuously evaluate and enhance contract management processes to streamline operations and increase efficiency.
- Utilise and own appropriate technology to make the project management process fast and efficient.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, management or related field
- Demonstrated experience in commercial contract management
- Advanced negotiation, influencing and stakeholder management abilities
- Ability to manage both internal and customer relationships
- Project management qualification and/or familiarity with project management tools and methodologies is a bonus
- Commercially minded
- Strong written and verbal communication
- Ability to build rapport quickly and make lasting first impressions and ongoing relationships with a customer-focused attitude
