The Cloudy Bay story is one of adventure. After a single sip in 1983, David Hohnen was captivated by Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc. In 1985 David and winemaker Kevin Judd launched Cloudy Bay with a vision for making New Zealand wines of uncompromising quality. It’s been that way ever since.
We are seeking a dedicated individual to join our team as Finance Assistant.
About the Finance Assistant Role
The Finance Assistant is the local representative of the finance team and provides accounting and finance support to the Estate. Attention to detail, teamwork, a strong work ethic, and being customer-focused are essential for success in this role.
Some key responsibilities include:
- Ensuring the Accounts Payable process is followed locally
- The Accounts Payable Officer is maintaining a steady throughput of invoices
- Auditing the fixed assets
- Process the FBT return quarterly
- Assist with Cellar Door sales uploads
- Support to the Accounting Manager (CAPEX process and reports, Growers’ payment, Reconciliations, etc.)
Requirements
Ideally, you will have:
- Eligibility to work in NZ long-term
- 5+ years previous relevant experience
- Year 12 completion amp; relevant business / accounting studies
- High attention to detail
- A high level of written, verbal and interpersonal skills
- A positive, proactive and flexible approach
- Ability to learn on the fly and handle ambiguity
- Computer skills, including Microsoft Office
- Intermediate+ MS Excel skills
- A sound understanding of database logic
- A sound understanding of accounting systems
