We are building a world-class engineering team and are looking to recruit a Senior Data Engineer to help lead the development of a greenfields enterprise data platform. The ideal candidate will be passionate about data, possess strong technical skills, and have experience designing and implementing scalable data platforms.
About the Role
- Design, develop, and support data models, pipelines, and data visualisation solutions based on Microsoft technologies.
- Work closely with the data science team and wider engineering team to ensure all relevant data sources are accessible and integrated with the data platform.
- Work closely with customers and internal stakeholders to ensure the data platform meets their requirements.
- Provide training and support for end users to enable them to effectively utilise data tools and platforms, and ensure that they have the necessary knowledge and skills to leverage data insights for decision-making.
- Contribute to developing Onside’s artificial intelligence strategy, and ensuring the data platform meets the technical requirements for AI use cases.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
- Senior level coding expertise using C# and .NET (both Core and .NET Framework)
- Experience with Blazor or ASP.NET, Entity Framework, Web API, SQL Server, JavaScript, and mobile stacks in Xamarin and/or MAUI
- Experience with source control and continuous Integration / continuous deployment technologies including Git and Azure DevOps
- Azure experience nice to have, but not essential
- Experience in Agile methods and Kanban
- Extensive knowledge of software development processes, frameworks, and practices
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with team members and stakeholders
- Proactive, motivated, and self-driven with a continuous improvement mindset
