About the RoleThe Circular Economy Waste Minimisation Lead role is part of the Environmental Social Governance (ESG) team that has responsibility for the overall strategic support of Foodstuffs’ ESG framework called HereforNZ. As a key member of ESG team, you will lead in the development and maintenance of Foodstuffs’ circular economy strategy in respect of waste minimisation. You will also support the wider business in with best practice circular economy waste minimisation processes, implementation of our circular economy plans as well as supporting the measurement of our progress against our activities and targets.The work is diverse and involves working closely with waste service providers, food donation agencies, recyclers/resource recovery,and composters to achieve our ambitious waste.

About youIdeally for you to be successful in this role you will have: · Relevant tertiary qualifications or equivalent experience· An in-depth understanding of, and interest in, circular economy, waste minimisation and waste management· A great understanding of change management and how to effectively put this into practice· Strong organisational and analytical skills with a flare for problem solving· An understanding of the principles, practices and techniques of contract management· Excellent relationship management skills, and a stakeholder engagement superstar· Excellent communications skills, oral and written
