Linux Administrator

Job Description
.We are looking for a Linux Administrator for a contract role based in Auckland, New Zealand. This is a long-term contract with a global IT consulting leader.
Requirements
Key Responsibilities:
- Expertly configure and meticulously document Linux systems
- Efficiently manage virtual machines to power simulation applications
- Thoroughly perform audits of hardware and software for optimal performance
- Proactively apply OS updates, patches, and configuration changes
- Diligently troubleshoot and resolve reported problems
Skills and experience required:
- At least 5 years of solid IT experience
- IT qualifications or a Tertiary Degree
- Red Hat Certified Engineer
- Proven expertise with SQL/MYSQL, MSSQL, or Oracle databases
- Familiarity with ITIL service management practices
- Extensive experience in Windows Desktop and server administration
- Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) level skills
- Mandatory: NV1 Security Clearance
