We are seeking a dynamic and experienced leader for the role of Head of Campus at
Green School New Zealand.

This is a rare opportunity for a proven and inspirational school leader to guide a community of learners and world-class educators within an award-winning, progressive and sustainability-focused school.

The Green School New Zealand opened in Taranaki, New Zealand, in February 2020 and is part of a global network of
Green Schools which share the common mission of igniting passion in learners and communities to create positive,

Requirements

Qualifications Essential: Candidates must have a good a Bachelors Degree (or equivalent)

Preferred: Candidates will have a Masters /Doctorate and further qualifications in leadership.

Preferred Experience

  • Experience as a Principal or Vice Principal (or equivalent) of a successful and high
    performing school with an international profile.
  • The successful candidate should be able to demonstrate they have successfully
    led and managed a school with a national or internationally established reputation with a minimum of five years.
  • As the Green School New Zealand offers primary, intermediate and secondary levels,
    experience of leading schools across a range of year levels would be an advantage.
  • The successful candidate should be able to demonstrate how their
    experience can enable the school to deliver on its mission.
  • The candidate should be able to demonstrate how their values and experience
    align to Green School New Zealand’s approach.
  • Experience in leadership and management of a complex institution
  • This school generates significant profile and interest from regional, national, and international stakeholders.
    The candidate needs to be able to demonstrate the ability to manage complex, multi-stakeholder environments.
  • The candidate must be able to qualify for registration with the Teaching Council of Aotearoa
    New Zealand and get a practicing certificate.
  • Green School New Zealand takes safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children seriously, and applicants must be willing to undergo child protection screening appropriate to the post, including checks with past employers and criminal checks before hiring any individual.
