Our Support Centre is 1,000 people strong, who all play a vital role in supporting our network of 330+ stores across the North Island.About the roleOur Financial Shared Services Group is growing here at Foodies and we are seeking a Credit Controller for a 10 month fixed term period to join our team! Responsible for debt management and collection activity for the Foodstuffs support centre and a range of stores this is an opportunity to work closely across all business units to receive, record, and resolve all billing and collection queries. Key focus areas will include:· Monitoring and applying collection practices to all third party debt and delinquent accounts· Monitoring debt, resolving and escalating issues arising on a timely basis · Liaise closely with all teams (e.g. Ownership and Funding, Property Asset managers) to ensure they understand risk accounts and are actively engaged in positive issue resolution· Provide regular analysis and identification of receivables and at risk accounts to the Credit Manager and Head of Finance Operations· Reporting and analysis of outstanding claims and uncleared payments· High level follow up with the vendors on outstanding claims creating visibility of outstanding issues· Reporting on month on month movement of the outstanding claims and uncleared payment documents· Provide regular reporting to stakeholders on account status, risk profile and recommended actions· Identify and give visibility to root cause issues which generate unnecessary transactions and / or delay paymentAbout youThis is a busy role in a small team so you will need a strong background in credit management with a proven track record of effective account management. You will need to understand financial workflows amp; resolution and be comfortable working at pace we need you to hit the ground running!Focused, tenacious and able to balance customer service with delivery of robust outcomes. You will have excellent planning and communication skills both written and verbal, with a great ability to collaborate with others, clearly articulate ideas/concepts and present to others.Ideally, you will have a good understanding of SAP, billing activities and the flow of financial documents and experience from a FMCG environment will be highly advantageousOur BenefitsWe offer a wide range of benefits with the opportunity to learn from some world class grocers, building your career in one of NZ’s leading retailers.
