Room Attendant - Sudima Kaikoura Hotel

Job Description
We are currently seeking Casual Room Attendants for the Sudima Kaikoura Hotel. Working as a valuable member of our Housekeeping team, you will be responsible for providing timely, hygienic cleaning, servicing and presentation of guest rooms and hotel public areas, along with reporting any health and safety issues and maintenance or technical needs within your work area. Your days will be active but never too busy for a warm welcome to our guests, check-in with your manager or teammates or a shared lunch with your hotel colleagues to celebrate a birthday or a job well done.

Our latest addition, Sudima Kaikoura, is a new 4.5-star hotel on the esplanade of Kaikoura's waterfront, conveniently located at the end of the town centre. The hotel has spectacular 360 views of the seaward Kaikoura mountain range, waterfront and peninsula and proudly presents large-scale, local Maori artwork throughout the hotel, with a high-quality fit-out, 120 well-appointed rooms, restaurant, bar, conference facilities and infinity pool.

- Work to the highest standards of cleanliness, tidiness and hygiene
- Ensure timely and effective cleaning, presentation and maintenance of rooms
- Servicing rooms as required ensuring productivity standards are met
- Ensuring that the hotels high standards are upheld
Requirements

- Previous experience within a similar role desired but not essential!
- Great communication and attention to detail
- Ability to remain calm under pressure, spot and resolve problems efficiently
- Willing to go the extra mile to ensure guests make the most of their day
- Exceptional grooming and hygiene standards
- Flexibility to work a variety of shifts
- Valid Right to Work in NZ
