ABOUT THE ROLE

As a Learning and Development Advisor, you will be critical in supporting the Organisation Capability Manager to drive a business-wide approach to designing and delivering learning courses.

Your primary duties will include understanding training needs, designing and delivering development initiatives, organising training and providing upskilling. Collaborating with subject matter experts, you will support the Organisation Capability Manager improve business capability, employee engagement, and organisational growth.

Requirements

The role includes, but is not limited to:

  • Supporting the Organisation Capability Manager in creating and delivering impactful development programs to enhance organisational capabilities.
  • Working with stakeholders to promote and increase the use of the company’s learning platform, myToolkit, expanding the use and familiarity of the system’s functions.
  • Analysing training needs to identify skill gaps and collaborating with relevant stakeholders to provide upskilling solutions.
  • Designing and facilitating learning activities focused on improving internal capabilities, especially in management.
  • Managing learning records, ensuring accurate documentation in the learning management system for effective reporting.
  • Building relationships across the organisation to understand learning needs and propose suitable training solutions.
  • Collaborating with the Organisation Capability Manager to create engaging and effective learning solutions, including e-learning courses, workshops (both face-to-face and virtual), and on-the-job training.

SKILLS amp; EXPERIENCE

  • Proven 3- 4 years’ experience in a similar role, with proven experience designing and delivering training courses.
  • Demonstrated understanding of different learning styles, adult learning, and innovative practices.
  • Ability to build collaborative working relationships across the business, from construction site teams to senior leaders.
  • Understanding of the New Zealand Qualifications framework and industry training organisations would be desirable.
  • A degree or diploma in Lamp;D is preferable.
