We are currently seeking a talented and passionate Sous Chef to join our dynamic kitchen team at Sudima Queenstown Five Mile.
As a Sous Chef, you will be responsible for assisting the Head Chef in overseeing the day-to-day operations of the kitchen and ensuring the highest standards of food preparation, presentation, and service are maintained.
The salary for this position is $68,000 - $70,000 depending on experience.

- Assist the Head Chef in menu planning and recipe creation
- Coordinate and supervise the kitchen team
- Ensure food safety and hygiene standards are met
- Monitor quality and presentation of dishes
- Train and mentor junior chefs
- Assist with inventory management and ordering
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth operations

Requirements
- Proven experience as a Sous Chef or Junior Sous Chef
- Strong culinary skills and knowledge of modern cooking techniques
- Understanding of food safety and hygiene regulations
- Ability to lead and motivate a team
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Attention to detail and creativity in presentation
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Certificate or diploma in culinary arts or related field
- Experience in a hotel or restaurant environment is preferred
- Legal right to work in New Zealand
