We are looking for a hands-on manager with strong floor skills, a clear sense of leadership, a professional manner and an ability to keep calm under pressure.
Your warmth, commitment and confidence will make you approachable to the entire team including senior management, experienced chefs, the customer facing team, and the patrons.
The responsibilities of this role will include
- Responsibility for running the restaurant and functions as well as overseeing the operational organization of Internal and VIP bookings
- Compliance with all health and safety regulations
- Creating and maintaining exceptional customer relationships
- Working closely with the chefs to maximise operational efficiencies
- Maintain effective communication amongst the cellar door, restaurant and kitchen teams
- Ensure all licensing guidelines are adhered to
- Allocating duties to staff to ensure smooth operations
- Take responsibility for extra management tasks when required
- Ensure the team is trained, motivated and focused.
Requirements
- Minimum 1 to 2 years’ experience in a similar position
- Excellent command of both verbal and written English, additional language is plus
- Impeccable personal hygiene and grooming standards
- Good level of wine knowledge and wine service
- Experience with Point-of-Sale IT systems and online booking systems.
- You will be physically fit as the job involves standing and lifting
- Strong leadership and communication skills to lead and support your team to deliver an exceptional service to the customers
