Actionstep is a pioneer in the development and sale of software-as-a-service (SaaS) products, specialising in the delivery of Legal Practice Management software. We are a fast growing, dynamic business with a global customer base and team. We are expanding our Engineering Team to ensure we are evolving and enhancing the Actionstep Solution to meet and deliver real values to our customers.
As the Director of Engineering, Product, you will have the unique opportunity to shape the future of our engineering of Actionstep. You will work closely with our VP of Technology and Engineering Teams and lead the journey to our next engineering organisation iteration.
What you will be doing
As Director of Engineering, Product, you will play a pivotal role in fostering a culture of excellence and delivering cutting-edge products. In this role, you will lead cross-functional development teams, ensuring they follow engineering best practices and maintain accountability and provide reporting on team KPIs. You'll implement the company's culture and vision within engineering, create specialised squads, and collaborate closely with our Engineering Leadership team. Overseeing the Engineering Department's budget will also be an essential aspect of this role. Additionally, you'll design development strategies aligned with the company's objectives and oversee the recruitment, training, and ongoing development of engineering talent.

Requirements
What you need to know and what will make you successful.
- 10+ years experience in Senior Engineering / Engineering leadership roles
- Excellent written and verbal communication
- Broad background in managing the use of a wide variety of development tools, languages, delivery mechanisms and infrastructure
- Experience in Recruitment, management of talent and retention
- Experience reporting on, managing and delivering KPIs for your team
