Sales Estimator amp; Customer Service

About the role
We are currently looking for a Full Time Sales Estimator/Customer Service person for our Aluminium Ultraclad department. Hours will be Monday to Friday 8am - 5pm (half hour for lunch). Some flexibility with hours is required. Salary will be dependent on experience. Looking for an ASAP start for the right applicant. The successful candidate will be hard-working, efficient, a quick learner and able to work both autonomously and in a team.
Primarily you will be required to liaise with customers via phone and email, enter customer quotes and orders, read both CAD and PDF drawings, and follow up on quotes. This role requires a candidate with a ‘can do’ attitude and excellent attention to detail. Mathematical aptitude is also essential as the quoting/orders component is numbers-based and good commercial sense is required. A great work ethic is a must to align with our company’s values.

Requirements

  1. Professional phone manner.
  2. Attention to detail (Critical).
  3. Estimating and/or Drafting experience..
  4. Accurate and efficient data entry skills.
  5. Good conflict resolution/problem-solving skills.
  6. Ability to work autonomously.
  7. Proactive attitude.
  8. Ideal/preferred skills/experience:
  9. Intermediate/Advanced Microsoft Excel, Word.
  10. General knowledge of Aluminium products would be an advantage.

General duties:
  • Answering phones.
  • Providing quotes from drawings (CAD/PDF). Will need to be able to interpret the drawings.
  • Entering customer orders.
  • Handling customer complaints/issues.
  • Help the sales team solve any customer requests
  • Process customer orders, update customer info
  • Support project manager on checking stock, arranging deliveries to powder coaters, schedule delivery dates
  • Process invoices on time,
  • Look after the warranty processes/forms,
  • Support to file Non conforming checklist and improvements
  • Determining what information is necessary
  • Work with Sales, Customers, Architect, Project manager and resolve any RFI's and discrepancies
  • Reviewing specification in details
  • Quantifying the materials by size, design and Type
  • Submit reports to Sales / clients or etc.
