The role:

As a Business Development Manager, you will play a pivotal role in expanding our client base by engaging with marketing, product, and innovation managers in medium to large businesses across various industries. Your responsibilities will include managing leads generated by Sales Development Representatives (SDRs) and actively creating your own leads. We are seeking individuals with a drive to succeed, a track record of building strong, long-term client relationships, and a passion for innovation.

Requirements

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with SDRs to follow up on qualified leads and appointments booked by the SDR team.
  • Develop and execute your own lead generation strategies to identify and engage with potential clients.
  • Conduct in-depth research on target companies and industries to understand their needs and challenges.
  • Initiate and maintain strong, long-term relationships with clients, acting as a trusted advisor and resource.
  • Work closely with the marketing, product, and innovation managers to understand their pain points and demonstrate how our SaaS solutions can address their specific needs.
  • Lead presentations and product demonstrations to showcase the value and benefits of our offerings.
  • Negotiate contracts and pricing with potential clients, ensuring a win-win outcome for both parties.
  • Provide regular updates and reports on your sales activities and progress to the Chief Revenue Officer.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, competitor offerings, and market dynamics to maintain a competitive edge.
  • Collaborate with the product development team to provide valuable feedback based on client needs and market insights.


Experience/Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a related field.
  • Proven track record of success in B2B sales and business development, particularly in the SaaS industry.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain strong, long-term client relationships.
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills.
  • Strategic thinker with a solution-oriented approach.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
  • Hunter mentality with a relentless drive for results.
  • Familiarity with CRM software (e.g., HubSpot) is a plus.
  • Willingness to adapt and thrive in a fast-paced start-up environment.
