The role
It’s an exciting time at Smartly; we are growing quickly and scaling fast. We need an experienced UX/UI Designer to help our Design Team bring the Smartly brand to life in our digital products, and ensure that all our customers and partners have a great, Smartly experience.
We have some exciting things planned for 2023 2024 and we’re seeking a collaborative, Intermediate or Senior UX/UI designer with a love for people and pixels. The work will be a mix of designing for new functionality, and designing to improve the usability and visual designs of the overall product.
As part of the role, you will:
- Work as part of an agile product development team, balancing user needs, technical constraints, and business objectives to deliver beautiful user-focused design solutions.
- Deeply understand our different audiences and ensure user insights and business needs inform designs.
- Support discovery, research and use human-centred design principles to evolve and innovate our product offering
- Design and produce high quality designs that adhere to design, usability and accessibility principles
- Help shape the Smartly Design System to deliver on-brand, efficient and scalable components, patterns and usage guidelines.
WHO WE’RE LOOKING FOR
Essential Skills and Experience
- Industry experience as a robust Intermediate or seasoned Senior
- Bachelor’s degree in interaction design, visual design, technology or a related discipline (or equivalent experience)
- At least 3+ years of experience in UI, UX, and design, ideally working in a product company
- Ability to switch between detailed, technical work and over-arching user journeys
- Great collaboration, problem solving and communication skills
- Skilled at working in Figma and other creative digital software
What you’ll need to bring
- A passion for design and user experience in the real world.
- Curiosity and mental agility to look at a problem from different perspectives.
- A fast learner who is not afraid to think outside of the box and has a creative approach when it comes to problem solving.
- A team player, that loves working as part of the design team, and across cross-functional teams.
- You will have a can-do attitude and be ready to jump in, work hard, share your knowledge, and be willing to learn from your other peers.
