About the Role
As an AWS Cloud Engineer, you are primarily responsible for delivering projects and will be called upon to leverage your technical knowledge to deliver business outcomes in AWS (be they IaaS, PaaS or other).
We are looking for an individual who has a growth mindset, who is always learning, has great interpersonal and communication skills with excellent technical knowledge.
What you’ll do
Some of the day-to-day activities you will be across will include engineering and delivering technical solutions for clients utilising the AWS platform and providing technical solutions with a focus on automation whilst ensuring strong relationships with our clients.
As an AWS Cloud Engineer your key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Engineering the provision of technical knowledge in relation to solutions to resolve business issues.
- Implementation/ migration / transformation the delivery of solutions on the cloud platform.
- Developing strong internal and external relationships, displaying technical excellence during all facets of each engagement.
What you’ll bring
This is an excellent role for a people person who is passionate about new technologies and producing excellent solutions for our clients’ needs. Ideally you already have 5 years’ IT experience with at least 3 years in project delivery and/or engineering.
We are keen to hear about your technical experience in the delivery of complex public cloud projects. Your relationship building and communication skills will be a strength.
Highly Desirable Skills and Experience
- AWS Certified DevOps Engineer Professional
- Landing Zone deployments for medium to large clients uptilting AWS Control Tower and Control Tower customisations
- Migration of services to and within AWS
- Intermediate to expert level experience with Infrastructure as Code (Cloudformation, Terraform, CDK, Pulumi)
- Strong knowledge of DevOps and CICD pipeline designing and implementation
- Strong AWS security and networking skills including IAM, IAM Identity Center, Permission Sets, Service Control Policies, Security Hub, Guard Duty, VPCs, Subnets amp; Routing, Transit Gateway implementations etc.
- Docker/Containers deployment and management using ECS / EKS / Fargate / App Runner
- Linux and Windows operating system experience
- AzureAD and other federation providers integration with AWS IAM Identity Center
