Requirements
We're looking for an experienced Principal QA Engineer to join our engineering leadership team in Auckland and work across our engineering teams to help build beautiful, resilient, robust products.
What you'll be doing
- Setting the QA technical vision of our Serko products
- Collaborating with product to align the QA vision with our product vision
- Guiding and mentoring our QA’s in our cross functional product delivery teams
- Improving our QA practices across engineering
What you'll bring to the team
- Passion around QA practices and technologies that the rest of our engineering team can learn and leverage
- Openness to receiving and giving feedback in a safe and inclusive work environment
- Excitement about learning how our industry operates
- Strong product/development collaboration skills with a pragmatism around delivery
- Experience in advocating software quality
- Experience inspiring change across multiple cross functional product delivery teams
- Experience mentoring others
- A deep understanding of tools and technologies to effectively test modern distributed web applications (e.g. Webdriver, Jest, Cypress, etc.)
- Experience with reading and writing Javascript
- Experience with SQL
- Familiarity with backend service languages such as C# or Java
