About the Role:
Entain Australia and New Zealand, the customer is at the centre of everything we do; we are in the process of expanding our New Zealand operations and are actively looking to fill the role of Head of Racing amp; Sports Partnerships. This pivotal position is dedicated to enhancing TAB NZ's presence and influence in the region's racing and sports sectors.
Your role will spearhead engagement efforts with New Zealand racing codes, essential racing stakeholders, national sporting bodies, and influential figures in the sports sector. The ultimate goal is to drive favourable commercial outcomes for Entain NZ, solidifying its position as a leader in the industry.

We have offices in Auckland, Wellington, Sydney, Melbourne, and Brisbane. At Entain AUS amp; NZ, we value a flexible work environment and support a hybrid working model, allowing employees to spend two days a week at the office, ensuring work-life balance and individual preferences.
This position is open to candidates based in Auckland or Wellington; we are also open to considering other locations for the right candidate.
Your day-to-day...
- Manage the successful execution of mutually beneficial racing and sports partnership opportunities, including direct sponsorships, large activations and events.
- Setting and assessing, in conjunction with relevant TAB business units, the performance of significant partnerships/sponsorship activity against agreed KPI’s.
- Acting as the internal conduit between the external partner and various TAB departments about partnership/sponsorship activity (including confirming ability to deliver proposed benefits).
- Manage key existing racing stakeholder partnerships, including with SENZ and RaceForm.
- Alongside the New Zealand Senior Leadership Team, represent TAB at domestic racing and sports events and identify and manage stakeholder hosting opportunities.
- Collaborate with internal teams to develop and present appropriate reporting and commercial insights for partners, being a trusted source of knowledge on product fees, wagering, margin performance, and industry trends (including media).
- Work alongside marketing and communication streams to drive industry awareness of TAB brands and their role within NZ communities.

- Experience with wagering, racing and/or sport, and display and maintain a network of trusted relationships.
- Able to inspire confidence from senior staff and external stakeholders through own work output, leading a professional team and ensuring expected results are delivered.
- Possesses well-developed communication and presentation skills, strong commercial literacy, and an inquisitive, analytical nature.
- Existing relationships with racing and sports industry stakeholders.
- Experience managing a leading a team is a must.
