About the role
- Propose suitable products to customers to achieve attributed sales targets and maintain and grow revenue for Marley; acting as the main interface between the customer and the company to ensure an optimal level of service is always provided
- Work closely with new and existing customers to determine their present and future needs; understanding the customer's objectives, buying criteria and decision-making processes; forming long term business partnerships to leverage revenue from the relationship and promote Marley as a quality supplier with the aim of achieving/maintaining "preferred" supplier status, customer retention and continued business
- Maintaining call cycles and plans via CRM with assigned customers and other key contacts and end users. Identifying and gaining new business through a sustained program of relationship mapping, follow up and referrals/leads.
- Ensuring that appropriate account management and business development activities are carried out to optimize opportunities for profitable business.
- Personally, developing and maintaining influential relationships in key customers and industry/business associations, key influencers, and specifiers
- Providing input into the corporate communications plans based on a thorough knowledge of customer, industry, and media perceptions.
- Ensuring optimum service to customers by close liaison with the Contact Centre, providing accurate and timely information on all customer queries and issues; taking ownership of outcomes by signing off completion of customer complaints
- Identifying issues that have potential impact on customer satisfaction, addressing them directly and/or escalating them.
- Proven track record in contract acquisition and tender negotiation
About you:
- 3-5 years’ experience in sales amp;/or marketing of technical products.
- Understanding of general economic, market and business trends, particularly Infrastructure market.
- Strong motivational and persuasive skills, ability to negotiate and close the sale.
- Strong planning and administration attention to detail.
- Provides information/research and opinion which aids strategic decision-making within Business Unit
