About the Role
The Systems Accountant reports to the General Manager Group Finance and works across the wider Finance team to develop and maintaining appropriate controls across financial systems and to ensure financial reporting integrity. You will own financial master data and user profiles across the Datacom Group. You will also work alongside others to implement new business requirements and to troubleshoot and resolve finance-related systems issues.
What you’ll do
- Own financial master data, including chart of accounts and related mapping tables.
- Own User Profiles across Datacom’s financial applications.
- Develop and maintain reporting integrity checks and processes.
- Drive reporting integrity process improvement changes.
- Develop, review, and maintain financial systems policies and procedures.
- Train and support finance team members in the use of financial systems and procedures.
- Monitor and assist general ledger period close process exceptions.
- Monitor governance of project codes, customer, and vendor records.
What you’ll bring
- 5+ years of demonstrated accounting experience.
- Experience using NetSuite or a similar ERP system.
- Good understanding of best practice financial controls
- Strong communications and influencing skills, including the ability to work with those with different skill sets and experiences.
- Experience in developing and maintaining financial reporting integrity processes.
- Strong data extraction and analytic skills.
- A commitment to the cause and a can do attitude.
