Job Description

Our purpose

Here at Datacom we connect people and technology in order to solve challenges, create opportunities and discover new possibilities for the communities we live in.

About the Role

Datacom’s ERP solution is designed to simplify and automate internal business processes and provide Datacom with a single version of the truth that will help us make reliable, data-guided decisions. It provides a much clearer line-of-sight of what's happening across our entire business and one set of common tools to use. Which in turn frees up our people to focus on supporting customer-facing functions with value-add activities. At the core of the solution are three group-wide tools.

  • NetSuite
  • OpenAir
  • Salesforce

The Manager ERP is responsible for the integration and maintenance of ERP applications and software within the organisation. This role designs and implements business solutions via ERP systems.

Working as part of our ERP Support team, the Manager - ERP role will see you providing expert knowledge, assistance and leadership to the wider support team, to ensure we are delivering an optimal system solution to support Datacom processes. You will work directly with stakeholders to document and validate their business requirements and map them to NetSuite functionality, as well as configuring the NetSuite application to meet their business requirements.

This role will be based out of our Auckland Gaunt Street office.

What you’ll do

As Manager - ERP you will:

  • Consulting with business units to determine ERP requirements.
  • Performing diagnostic tests and resolving issues.
  • Installing, configuring and integrating ERP software/apps, particularly NetSuite.
  • Providing training and support for end-users.
  • Designing user-friendly interfaces and functionalities.
  • Team reporting, day-to-day team supervision, resource planning, performance reviews, development plans, ad-hoc projects and mentoring of staff.
  • Identifying opportunities to better empower the support function through training and tools to resolve client issues as quickly as possible.
  • Reviewing all technical support-related processes and documentation for continuous improvement.
  • Demonstrating analytical capabilities while monitoring trends and creating reports for the purpose of delivering a plan for further success.
  • Ensuring governance and risk management strategies comply with applicable legislation, commonwealth government policy, relevant standards, contract obligations and the strategic priorities of Datacom.

What you’ll bring

  • Ideally 3+ years experience with NetSuite Functional Consultancy
  • Preferably you'll hold a degree in IT, Computing or Accounting
  • Deep and broad understanding of the business and technology strategies in which the organisation operates.
  • Extensive knowledge of strategy development and implementation principles.
  • Extensive knowledge across all NetSuite modules
  • Exposure to financial management practices, with an understanding of the relationship between costs, utilisation and project revenue.
  • Demonstrated experience in managing people and teams, financial management, budget tracking and reporting.
  • Experience developing and implementing strategic plans and objectives.
