All of the work will be greenfield development, using the latest tech stack (PHP 8, Laravel, VueJS, PythonAWS, MySQL, MongoDB) to build services across our core web application and our data and insights product.
With a number of our great Figured developers starting their Figured journey as interns, we see huge value in ensuring you have a programme that gives you great exposure, support and a unique and real experience to what it's like to be a world class product engineer.
Requirements
What sort of person works at Figured?
We know you're early in your career and its great if you've developed software products before and dabbled with PHP but that will only get your started, what will set you apart and take you the distance will be:
- Learning agility - you love to learn new things by doing and do that quickly
- Complexity - you thrive when problem solving and love a good head scratcher to dive into
- Communication/collaboration - extra emphasis on this! As part of a tight knit team solving complex problems we default to over communicating and working collaboratively and openly
- Initiative - you prefer to go and figure something out than waiting to be told
- Independent - you thrive on autonomy and not phased by having to dig around to collect information, don’t worry we’ll hand that ball back to you if you drop it
Desired Skills
- Development experience or exposure to PHP, JavaScript, Vue.js
- Experience with Linux, Nginx, MySQL, MongoDB
- Experience with modern PHP MVC frameworks, ideally Laravel amp; Symfony
- Experience with Agile development
- Experience with Amazon AWS or similar environment.
