About The Role - Te mahi

An exciting opportunity awaits for a Full Time Food and Beverage Manager in our restaurant at Sudima Lake Rotorua.

Ideally you will have experience in a similar role, a passion for exceeding our diners expectations and great knowledge of food and beverages. We are looking for someone who is passionate and has the enthusiasm that will inspire a team of restaurant and beverage superstars to deliver on point.

This is a hands on role which requires leadership skills, the ability to remain calm under pressure whilst leading a busy restaurant and bar team to ensure exceptional service.

The successful candidate will have experience as a Manager with three years or more of food and beverage experience. You will be conversant with Sale of Liquor responsibilities. We appreciate and value every one of our team members, and the person in this position will demonstrate true leadership skills by encouraging and supporting the team through their chosen career.


In this role you will have the following responsibilities:


  • Supervision of the team in our food amp; beverage service outlets
  • Resolve any issues in a timely manner with positive outcomes
  • Maintaining attendance records and rosters
  • Ensure guest satisfaction through effective communication and efficient delivery
  • Promote a dynamic team environment.
  • Ensure all team members deliver a high level of service at all times
  • Ensuring highest possible standard of hygiene.
  • Be pro-active in adhering to Sale of Liquor responsibilities
  • Maintain a sound knowledge of the hotel’s procedures and policy
  • Requirements

  • NZQF Diploma, or at least three years of relevant experience (ANZSCO Skill Level 2)
  • Previous Manager experience
  • Excellent Communicator
  • Understanding of Sale of Liquor Act
  • Exudes attentive, friendly and professional service
  • Excellent wine, beer and cocktail knowledge
  • Highly organised and plans ahead
  • Current GM certification preferred but not necessary
  • Can work on a rotating roster 7 days a week
  • Candidates must already have the legal right to work in New Zealand to be considered for the role.
