Vulcan is one of Australasia's largest Steel Distribution companies with continued growth and expansion, we currently have 29 sites across Australasia. These sites primarily sell steel products across 4 divisions and offer profiling services. You will be joining a thriving team of professionals whose role is to support our external representatives and to support the day to day operations of our distribution businesses, offering our clients an exceptional level of service and support.
Requirements
You will be answering inbound inquiries via phone and email, processing orders, preparing quotes, and proactively follow up with customers to get their feedback, guarantee their satisfaction and develop ideas for pitch modification to more successfully sell product. You will have an excellent telephone manner accompanied with a can do attitude. We highly value our clients and while this role is office based, we encourage going out and meeting the clients face to face to strengthen these relationships. Hours are Monday to Friday - with some flexibility with start and finish times to provide a better work-life balance, as part of the team you will generally work an 8 hour day.
You will need to be at an intermediate level with computer skills and have great attention to detail. Once trained this role is varied with exciting opportunities to increase your knowledge and develop your professional career and will involve assisting in the day to day performance of the branch, including stock management and other administrative responsibilities.
We will require you to have a full class 1 licence. Our team is small and we need a person who has a positive attitude and outlook who will be happy to help out in other areas if required.
