Job Description

At Paloma, we worked Distributed, which means our office spaces are hubs for in-person collaboration, strategy development or simply a place to socialise with colleagues. That's where this role comes in. We're looking for a Part-Time Office Manager to work 16-20 hours/week in our Auckland office to keep things humming, operations smooth and office snacks stocked. This person will be the go-to contact at the office, so whenever our people or clients drop in, they feel welcomed and supported.

What You'll Own

  • All the ins and outs of the Auckland Office Management function: this could be communicating with vendors, setting up office maintenance, weekly grocery orders and stocking the fridge
  • Support onboarding tasks for local new starters: putting together swag bags, ordering equipment and welcoming them on their first day
  • Help to coordinate local events and support in travel coordination where relevant
  • Add value and share ideas with the greater Operations team to help us improve our people initiatives

Requirements

We’d love (but it’s not a deal breaker!) you to have:

  • Previous experience working in an administrative or hospitality role
  • The ability to make a positive impact on the culture, including organise office events
  • A highly organised, diligent, and passionate work ethic
  • An adaptable approach to issues - ability to look at things holistically with a keen focus on efficiency
  • A natural problem solving ability, and be someone who is highly organised and deadline-driven
  • Pro juggling skills - almost always you will have a few things on the go at once.
